Located in the small village of Kokkino Chorio just 10 minutes drive from Almyrida Beach resort.
The nearest taverna (seasonal ) is just 1 minute walk away & shop 3 minutes. Villa Troodos is traditionally styled but benefits from modern conveniences.

Villa Troodos is a 2 bed 2 bath Villa which has been architecturally designed to make the the most of its front sea-views over Souda Bay and Draponas Mountain views to the rear. Two large furnished balconies and a separate outside eating and BBQ area allow for that holiday outside living.

The private pool set in a secluded walled garden with mature plants is furnished with sunbeds and parasols to enhance your stay. There is an olive grove behind and to one side of the villa.

The main open plan living area is dual aspect with a high vaulted ceiling . It is open plan - with kitchen ( including washing machine , dishwasher and freezer), living room with wood burner & a dining area all set up for 4 people.

Villa Troodos has a novel layout with 2 staircases leading off the living area.The master bedroom is down a small flight of steps with king size bed & has french doors leading to outside patio .
The second bedroom is up an open wooden staircase and has twin beds.* Each bedroom is served by its own shower room with toilet located beside each of the bedrooms.

* Due to the nature of the open wooden stairs to the twin room we do not accept bookings from groups with children under 5 years of age .

We can accommodate a fifth guest - child or teenager in a fold up bed either in bedroom 2 or the lounge

The beauty of Villa Troodos is you are near many really easy short day trips out - Octopus Bay - Ombros Gialos , Ancient Aptera, Georgioupoli, Koutalis Bay , Almyrida , Olive Groves , Wineries , Kalives / Kalyves and Chania Town and Port to mention a few , yet you enjoy the benefit of being in a tranquil traditional Greek village with a shop and taverna ( seasonal ) a short walk away .

Just a 10 minute drive away from Villa Troodos and your are at the sandy shallow beach resort of Almyrida where there are water sport facilities as well as numerous shops - butcher , baker , chemist and lovely cafes , bars tavernas and restaurants.

From Villa Troodos a twenty minute walk down the hill takes you to the secluded pebbly bay of Koutalis Beach which is perfect for snorkeling.

The old part of Kokkino Chorio village has traditional whitewashed houses , there is the local taverna Zorba's Bar owned by Yiannis offering simple traditional food heaps of Greek hospitality ( or ' xenia' ) and of course very cold beer. (The village was actually used as a location for the 1964 film Zorba the Greek and many of the locals featured in this classic film with Anthony Quinn!)

In Kokkino Chorio village there is also a well stocked Mini Market Shop run by the very helpful George who in 2020 was 3rd for "Best Thought Of Mini Market" for the whole of GREECE.
Getting around
Car hire is advised.

Villa Troodos is in a quiet tranquil village yet you are just a short drive from the larger villages of Plaka, Almyrida beach resort and the larger year round village Kalives / Kalyves.

There is a small Mini Market in Kokkino Chorio Village , small supermarkets in Plaka and Almyrida and a large supermarket in Kalyves called Synka ( 15 mins by car ) and even larger larger Lidls in Chania Town .

In Almyrida and Kalives there are boats available to hire , diving trips and water sports available.

The area is good for walking and hiking too and there numerous historical sites and churches nearby.

The beauty of Villa Troodos is you are near many really easy short day trips out - Octopus Bay - Ombros Gialos , Ancient Aptera, Georgioupoli, Koutalis Bay , Almyrida , Olive Groves , Wineries , Kalives / Kalyves and Chania Town and Port.
