Summary: A truly spectacular place. It is a 300-year-old villa that has been beautifully renovated. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The staff was helpful, friendly, and gracious. The made-to-order breakfast was outstanding! There are many little spots throughout the gardens where you can relax with a glass of wine and admire the views of the Douro River.
