Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The house itself was lovely with a gorgeous view and short access to the beach. The breeze was constant and wonderful. Flowers were beautiful. There is a small pool which was nice but it is too deep to stand in and there is only a metal ladder to get in and out so you cannot "lounge" in the pool (no access to noodles or any other flotation devices). There was a covered porch where you could sit and and look out of the the ocean. Once windows and shutters shut, it was pretty sound proof. Any issue we raised was promptly looked at by the maintenance person. Only one issue was not resolved -fan in front bedroom on second floor did not work and he couldn't fix it.

Negative: I will start off by saying these issues may not be as troublesome to those who are not from the United States. The roads in Tinos are challenging to say the least - we knew this going in but this location was particularly challenging to find. Keys were left in the door but door locks in Greece (perhaps Europe?) are different then the US and we had difficulty getting in. It would have been preferable to have someone at the house to greet us and show us how things worked (i.e. the stove was not working - turns out the breaker was off but there was no note to tell us to turn it on, etc.). The road which led to the road that the "driveway" was off of is a dirt road; however , it was driveable and wide enough for two cars. The "road" leading to the driveway itself was a one way very rutted dirt road which was barely passable. It is the main road to get to many houses and the Blanco Beach House - so it can be fairly busy. You have to back up or pull off (if possible) to let other cars pass. The GL Villa driveway is steep and not easy to maneuver. The closeness of the Blanco Beach house is a plus and minus - we went for dinner one night and it was lovely - but during the day they play music loud enough to be heard at the Villa. This felt more appropriate for Mykynos and not something we were expecting on Tinos.

Summary: Lovely house and view but very difficult to get in and out
