Gute Busverbindungen und nur 35 km zum Flughafen Thessaloniki. 3km von Nea Kalikratia und 2 km Von Nea Iraklia entfernt. Dort gibt es alles für den täglichen Bedarf. Einen kleinen Bauernmarkt und romantische Fischtavernen mit Sonnenuntergang über dem Olymp. Ausflugsziele: Höhle in Petralona, Hafenstadt Nea Moudania, Sithonia, Kassandra, Thessaloniki, Der Olymp liegt auf der anderen Seite der Bucht ca. 100 km, gute Wandermöglichkeiten. Für Männer Ausflüge nach Athos (Vorbuchung erforderlich) , Tagesausflüge nach Meteora / Kalambaka sind möglich. Auch Kavala oder Thassos und Samothrake sind lohnende Ziele.
