Lefkada is a small island but with major influence in greek culture. Birthplace of two greek national poets , as well as of the major figure of modern japanese literature Lafkadio Hern, of many painters, actors and scientists. According to the acclaimed german archaeologist Wilhelm Dörpfeld Lefkada is the location of Ulysses Ithaca.
The two houses (Villas Harriet, one of the latest acquisitions of LefkadaHolidayRentals team) located in an area known as "Paradise" to the locals, are named Anticlea and Euriclea, after the mother and the nurse of the homeric hero. The surrounding area is forestry with spectacular view of the sea canal that separates the island from the opposite land of Acarnania. In VIllas Harriet, you can enjoy the ultimate relaxation by having an iced tea in the balcony or a drink by the pool in the afternoon and gaze at the sea as the sunset changes the palette of colours in the evening sky. Another characteristic of Lefkada island is the unique silver-green olive trees that dominate the surroundings of the villas by their presence. We have also preserved other local trees such as myrtle trees, Judas trees etc
The houses are only 400 meters from the nearest beach and the village of Lygia where you can do your shopping of visit a fish tavern by the sea. The distance from the town of Lefkada is only 5km. The road network of the island offers proximity to some of more beautiful and well known beaches of the Mediterranean.
In each villa, in the upper floor there are 2 bedrooms with a wonderful view to the sea and a corner balcony that serves the guests of both rooms. You enjoy the sea and sun from the balcony, by taking your breakfast in the morning or enjoy the tranquility of the afternoon, accompanied by a glass of wine in the arms of your loved one.One bedroom has a queensize double bed (dimensions: 1,60x2,00) and the other bedroom has 2 single beds that can be transformed to a king size bed. There is also a common bathroom with WC and shower.
In each villa, the ground floor is an open plan floor where there is a kitchen, a dining area, a living room and a common bathroom with WC and shower. You can have fun cooking at the fully equipped kitchen and then enjoy an abundant meal with your family and friends in the dining table . In the living room, there is a couch and 2 armchairs that can be transformed into two single good-quality convertible beds that can accommodate another 2 guests while in the other villa a big corner couch serves that purpose as well. The spacious living room is offered for happy relaxing moments with friends and family while gazing at the pool and view.
Underground: In each villa, in the lower floor there are 2 bedrooms each one with 2 single beds that can be transformed to a king size double bed (dimensions: 1,80 x 2,00) and a common bathroom with WC and shower.
Kindly be advised that the owner of the villa has done all necessary proactive disinfestation, always in line to the environmental laws for the protection of the natural life. However the property is located within the beautiful natural surroundings and contact with insects or small animals (eg stray cats, mice, reptiles, flies, mosquitos, ants etc) cannot always be prevented.
