Positive: We had a very beautiful stay at Villa Alegria Casa II. The villa itself is exceptional – clean, spacious, perfectly maintained – and the local team in Corfu was outstanding: very welcoming, helpful, and professional. However, the communication with the UK team was disappointing. At check-in, they refused to accept national ID cards, even though we are EU citizens. Out of 9 people, only 2 did not have passports, but this became a big issue for them, which was unnecessary. On top of that, the address they sent us by email (SEFKARA) was wrong. Its in RODA!!!!After driving 18 hours from Romania to Corfu, we ended up in the middle of nowhere. When we called for help, they told us they couldn’t guide us to the location. Locals couldn’t help either, and replies to our emails took up to 4 days. On the arrival day, while I was already stressed about not finding the villa, they told me that our check-in wasn’t completed and that we couldn’t enter the property. In the end, only the Booking team managed to assist us, and for that I am grateful. Conclusion: The villa and the Corfu team are absolutely fantastic – spotless house, great comfort, and excellent service. But the UK management left a lot to be desired. I definitely recommend the villa, but make sure to double-check the instructions you receive and rely on the local Corfu staff for assistance.
