Summary: My family and I stayed at a villa in Santorini at the end of July. The location was a major issue; Expedia showed it in central Thira, but it was actually in Emporio, a much farther location in far south Santorini (Emporio 847 03, Greece- this is the actual address) this caused significant delays and disrupted our travel plans. Therefore the airport was also not a 3 min drive as stated on here, instead was over 20 mins. This was the main; As many like us, plan transport and activities around location, And this caused a complete inconvenience.
The villa also advertised a full kitchen, but it lacked a stove, making meal preparation difficult; It Had a microwave, a kettle a sandwich maker and a coffee machine; so not fully self-catering. The listing promised two queen beds, but we only had one queen and two single beds. Additionally, the air conditioning in the bedroom malfunctioned on the first night, and maintenance only resolved it the next day.
On the positive side, the host communicated well via WhatsApp, and late check-in was made convenient with a self-check-in process. The hot tub was a luxurious touch, though its light was broken. The villa was clean, with ample towels and toiletries, and close to Perissa Beach and bus stops. Nearby amenities included a supermarket and cafés, and free parking was available. The host also allowed a late checkout, which was appreciated. Despite the issues, the villa’s location near attractions and its amenities made the stay enjoyable.
